2 Down, Forever to go.....Georgia on my mind.

Last weekend Brad & I celebrated our second anniversary! It's hard to believe it's already been 2 years since our wedding! Brad & I usually have a hard time trying to agree on vacation spots. I've always traveled, so long distances are normal vacations to me. I used to spend summers in a camper, while Daddy drove us all over the United States. Brad isn't what I would call a lover of long drives. He wants to get to the destination and start vacation, while i'm getting all excited about what we might see on the way...My Mommas voice will forever ring in my ears "Girls, look out the window! You might miss something!"

If I had a dime for every time I heard that!

Brad & I finally agreed on Savannah, GA. We had both been before with our families, but now we're all grown up (most days) so we wanted to give it another go ;) I'm a planner, so I immediately booked a hotel, found good dinner spots, and scoped out the shopping! We arrived at our Hotel & it was unbelievable. We stayed at the Mansion in Forsythe Park. It's amazing! I would definitely recommend it! Our room was spic & span, the service was excellent, it wasn't a horrible walk to River Street, and Forsythe Park is out of a movie...It's gorgeous! :) We had dinner at a few good places, but River Street Seafood was my favorite...the calamari...oh my word! Heaven should serve calamari from River Street Seafood! So very good. It wasn't overcooked , and it was served with bananna peppers which gave it amazing flavor. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it!

River Street was soooo busy, but really fun. Our anniversary is March 15th which we all know is 2 days before St. Patrick's Day. Anybody wan't to try and guess where the second largest St. Patrick's Day celebration in the country takes place?? No? Ok well let me just tell you! SAVANNAH, GA! The river was green, the people were CRAZY, but it was all so entertaining and festive. We had a blast...There was a parade, and kilts, and bagpipes....I loved it!

Here are some pictures....You guys should really try out Savannah....maybe not close to St. Patrick's Day, but sometime....
